About Taylor Grace
I’m a Toronto-based multidisciplinary storyteller. I turn abstract concepts, emotional processes and complex data into things that people can feel, understand and use, whether it’s in animation, performance or websites.
Who I Work With
I help research teams, nonprofits, and businesses that strive to make the world a better place translate their work into stories and tools that land for audiences.
Alongside this, I’m interested in more explicitly narrative work—writing, story development, and storyboarding, particularly in animation and related formats. I’ve contributed to the development of an animated series, and I occasionally co-facilitate storytelling workshops focused on helping participants shape and communicate their own narratives.
My Process
I start by understanding the heart of what needs to be communicated. From there, the design decisions naturally flow in support of that central idea.
I spend some time exploring everything the project could be, then narrow it down to the essentials. Simplicity is the goal. Ideas land better when they have room to breathe.
I check in early about my design directions and I work iteratively based on the feedback I receive. The process is collaborative, and I aim for my clients to feel a sense of ownership in the final result.
